This is one of those fossils that deserves to be looked at from every single angle.

A genuine ammonite from Madagascar, carefully cut and polished into two matching halves from the same specimen, then displayed together on a custom-made black metal stand.

And just LOOK at those chambers. 😍

The beautiful natural spiral has been revealed through polishing, exposing the individual internal chambers of the ammonite. Throughout the specimen are gorgeous earthy shades of caramel, honey, cream, smoky brown and grey, with numerous chambers opening into sparkling druzy-lined cavities.

Some of those chambers are absolutely packed with tiny crystals, giving the specimen incredible texture and sparkle when the light catches them.

But the polished interior is only half the story…

🌈 NATURAL IRIDESCENT SHELL PRESERVATION

Turn the ammonite around and areas of the preserved outer shell produce the most beautiful natural rainbow iridescence.

Depending on the angle and lighting, flashes of green, blue, gold, pink, orange and violet move across the surface. The effect changes as you move the specimen, making the reverse every bit as interesting as the polished interior.

And then it has ANOTHER surprise… 👀

💜 UV REACTIVE & PHOSPHORESCENT

Under UV light, areas of the ammonite show a visible fluorescent reaction.

Even better, in places that reaction continues briefly after the UV light has been removed, producing phosphorescence — an actual afterglow!

So this specimen gives you something completely different depending on how you view it: the incredible fossil structure and crystal-lined chambers in normal light, rainbow iridescence as you move it, and another dimension entirely under UV.

Because these are the two matching halves of one ammonite, they sit beautifully together on the stand and allow you to see the internal structure of the same ancient animal mirrored across both sides.
